 B.O.B. You may not have noticed, but about 4% to 5% of the contents of each of these plastic bottles don't come out unless you hold the bottle upside down for at least one hour. After the plastic is ground up, it’s put through a water-based detergent solution, which is fouled up by the petroleum. The bottles need to be cleaned before they’re sent to the recycling plant or landfill to prevent this.
